Were delighted to be offering this beautiful and innovative four-bedroom house in the heart of Henley On Thames.

THE TAPP HOUSE The Tap House was built in 1967 by David Tapp, a well-known Henley architect, for his family. The method of construction was an innovative timber-frame system that he developed and was used in other building projects in and around Henley.
One of David Tapp's first commissions was for George Harrison which led to him being involved in the restoration of Friar Park, whose large estate borders onto Hop Gardens. David Tapp lived in the house until 2001 when it was bought by the actor Rodney Bewes.

Having been involved in the visual world all my life I feel very fortunate to be the custodian of a space that encompasses my passion for design, art and architecture. By appreciating the Tapp House's place in architectural history and maintaining its original features, the building's integrity has not been compromised.
The relaxed interior, with a nod to mid-century eclectic art, the luxury of light and space, the feeling of tranquility and a sense of calm makes this a very special place, especially considering its proximity to the town.


PROPERTY DESCRIPTION Front door with double glazed window to front, opens into the Reception Hall with quarry tiled floor, part timber cladded walls, glazed patio door to the rear spiral staircase to first floor. Cloak Room with low level WC and part timber cladded walls also.

Drawing room compromises of timber cladding to one wall and ceiling, fitted low level cupboards, hardwood bay window to side (south), hardwood double glazed full height and full width window to rear with panoramic views over Henley, across to Remenham and towards the Hambledon Valley.
Master Bedroom compromises of timber cladding to two walls, full height picture window to rear, dressing area with fitted cupboards to either side, leading to En Suite bathroom. En Suite Bathroom with white four-piece suite, panelled bath, basin with laminate surface to either side and cupboards below, tiled splashback, shaver point, fully tiled shower cubicles with folding door, low level WC, double glazed window and hardwood frame to front.
